shiatsu
Shiatsu means “finger pressure,” and it is one of the traditional Japanese forms of healing. Pressure is applied to a large and varied number of points (tsubo), which are thought to lie within the body on intangible meridians of Ki (Life Energy). Various styles of shiatsu (a.k.a. acupressure) exist, but most make use of a meridian theory originally influenced by Chinese acupuncture.
